AIMediaComms was formed in Dec 2009 from the merger of Ether-ray business and Solcara Media Division. Both Solcara Media Division and Ether-ray provided on-demand, hosted software for corporate communications teams helping businesses to comply with corporate guidelines by delivering consistent messages to their target audiences and maintaining brand consistency through the communication process.
With the combined customer base of over 300 clients and a strengthened solution portfolio, AIMediaComms is today the clear market-leader for media relations management software in the UK.
AINewsflash covers all facets of the communications function, including media and public relations, stakeholder and campaign management, internal communications, and marketing. Through one, integrated application, users are able to capture, create, distribute, and analyse all communications, driving consistent brand recognition and upholding the reputation of their organisation. AISpotlight provides an in-depth and easy-to-use functionality for managing both the proactive and reactive media communications.
The Management Team
Charlie O’Rourke has taken the overall management responsibility for the AIMediaComms business after the merger. Charlie was previously Sales and Marketing Director at Solcara and has over ten years experience working in the media relations software market-place.
Current Business Performance
AIMediaComms enjoys the predictability of revenue and profits expected from the SaaS business. The vast majority of clients enter six year deals with a three year break clause; on average two new clients per month become subscribers to the online service and there are over 200 company subscriptions to the service. These are mainly local authorities, development agencies, and NHS trusts. In addition, AIMediaComms is the leading supplier of Media and PR systems to UK Police market, with over 60% market share.
Post-merger, the combined and diverse solution portfolio offer a greater potential to grow the business with targeted campaigns into the commercial sector, while the broader customer base presents new cross- and up-selling opportunities.
AIMediaComms have also invested significantly in R&D activities and the latest AIControlPoint product has now been deployed by a number of commercial airlines, a Government department, a large financial organisation and a various global enterprises.
